Visit the Corner Cafe in Historic Downtown Sanford Florida

Perhaps once if the best-kept little secrets in Sanford is the Corner Cafe at the corner of 1st and Park in the Historic Downtown district. It's a fun and friendly place, and you can tell how passionate the Chef (and owner), Michael O'Brien is about the food he serves. Everything is super fresh. He hand picks his ingredients rather than relying on one of the big food purveyors to deliver what they have to offer. The Cuban sandwich is killer! He uses his secret seasonings and slow roasts the pork. Once cooked, it is hand-pulled and becomes companion to ham, Swiss cheese, and his spicy pickles. We've heard time and time again, that the French Onion Soup in a toasted bread bowl "is the best on the planet!" Try one of our signature salads made with freshly chopped Romaine, red cabbage, tomato slices and celery doves, or one of our soups; a hearty Celery Vegetable (no cream in this soup!), Loaded Potato, Tomato Florentine, or chili. They are all handmade. Quench your thirst or need for caffeine with an Espresso or your favorite coffee drink (hot or iced), or some of the best sweet tea you'll find. For dessert, try one of the smoothies (fruit, coffee, or dessert varieties), or one of the many flavors of dessert shots like Triple Chocolate Decadence, Orange Caramel Flan or Key Lime. Ice-cold brews and affordable glasses of wine are available too! There is nothing over $7.95, and one of the coolest deals is our "Create Your Own" option.
